| Li Zhaoxing Holds Informal Meeting with Russian and Indian Foreign Ministers at Almaty |

On the evening of October 21 2004, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held informal meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Indian Minister Singh of External Affairs at Almaty. The three foreign ministers exchanged views on striking terrorism, the situation in central Asia, the situation in Afghanistan as well as the situation in Iraq.
The three sides all agreed to enhance the role of the UN and to continue to keep in touch with each other on international and regional issues of common interest.
On the same evening, Li also met with Vice Foreign Minister of Iran. The later briefed Li about the latest progress of Iran's nuclear issue.
